What students practise
Each sentence is a tiny story: a cashier who gives change, a brother who just lost his job, a photographer who loves her work. Students read, pick the right word from the list and write it in the blank.
And the answer key adds a useful note: in familiar French, being licencié is often said as viré. A nice bonus to open a short discussion about registers with the class.
