French Writing About Money: Spender or Saver? 🐷
Six questions, six little stories to tell: are you a spender or a saver? What is your best purchase, your worst one? What costs you the most, day to day? This writing worksheet asks the students to talk about money — their money — and everybody has something to say about it.
The prompts go from the personal experience to the advice: first the students answer with reasons (parce que, car), then they give their tips to put money aside, with the imperative or il faut. A complete expression écrite session, with the piggy bank and the banknotes as quiet companions.
✨ What students practise
First, the vocabulary of money: dépensier or économe, une source de revenus, économiser, mettre de l’argent de côté. The six questions install the words naturally, because each answer needs them.
Then, the two big skills of the expression écrite: justifying (parce que, car, donc) and advising (the imperative, il faut, je te conseille de). And because the topic is their own money, the students write with their real life — which is always easier than inventing. In short, a worksheet where nobody can say « I have nothing to write ».
