I Brush My Teeth: Tracing & Coloring Worksheet – Free Printable 🪥

A dental-health tracing page with a clear rule: to brush your teeth properly, follow the direction of the arrows. The child traces the dotted arrows on the top teeth (downward strokes) and on the bottom teeth (upward strokes), then colors the page.

The instruction box also teaches three words of real science: brushing removes small bits of food, gets rid of bacteria, and bacteria produce acid that damages teeth. The US Letter PDF with watermark is free for everybody; the clean PDFs in A4 and US Letter are for Premium members.

✨ What the little ones practise

First, the pencil control: each dotted arrow is a vertical stroke to follow in one direction — down on the top teeth, up on the bottom teeth. Then, the direction awareness: the child sees that the two rows do not brush the same way, and the arrows show why.

And a first science lesson, in three lines of plain English: brushing removes bits of food, gets rid of bacteria, and bacteria produce acid that damages teeth. In short, one page that trains the hand and explains the toothbrush at the same time.

1 👀 Look

Read the instruction box and find the arrows on each row of teeth.

2 ⬇️ Top teeth

Trace the dotted arrows downward, the way the top teeth are brushed.

3 ⬆️ Bottom teeth

Trace the dotted arrows upward, the way the bottom teeth are brushed.

4 🎨 Color

Color the teeth, the toothbrushes, the bubbles and the bacteria.

🦷 The brushing rule, in two rows

The page shows the correct direction for each row of teeth — the same rule dentists teach:

⬇️ Top teeth · brush downward, from the gum to the edge
⬆️ Bottom teeth · brush upward, from the gum to the edge
🍞 Food bits · removed by brushing in the right direction
🦠 Bacteria · what brushing gets rid of
⚗️ Acid · produced by bacteria, it damages teeth
🪥 The gesture · trace the arrows, then repeat in the bathroom
💡 Teacher tip: use the page during a dental-health week, then move to the mirror: the child shows the direction on the worksheet, then repeats the gesture on their own teeth. Top teeth down, bottom teeth up — the arrows stay in memory.
