Activities, Hobbies and Passions: English A1-A2 Worksheet (Free PDF) 🎸
Nine pictures of people doing what they love, and one word bank: the student writes the correct activity under each image, from sewing to skateboarding, from pottery to being a photographer. Then the page moves to written expression: two guided prompts with lines, to talk about their own hobbies and about the activities they do not like.
One worksheet, two skills: naming activities in English (with the -ing form), and writing short personal sentences with like, enjoy and does not interest me. The watermarked US Letter PDF is free for everybody; the clean A4 and US Letter PDFs and the answer key are for Premium members.
✨ What the students practise
First, the vocabulary: nine activities in the -ing form, matched to nine clear pictures. Then, the grammar that goes with it: I like playing music, I also enjoy painting, Sculpting does not interest me. The written expression part gives two prompts with lines, so the sentences are produced, not just recognised.
Read the word bank: nine activities, from sewing to pottery.
Write the correct activity under each of the nine pictures.
Answer the two prompts: your hobbies, and the ones you do not like.
