French Jobs Vocabulary Worksheets
These three printable worksheets help learners recognise and write the names of common jobs in French. The activities use clear pictures, familiar occupations and simple instructions, so students can work with the vocabulary without having to read a long text first.
The collection includes one writing activity and two matching worksheets. The matching activity is available in both standard print and cursive writing, which makes it easier to choose the version that suits your learners.
What students practise
Students connect a picture with the right French job title, then either write the word or draw a line to the matching character. They practise useful vocabulary such as cuisinier, enseignant, mécanicien, policier, pompier, dentiste, fermier and docteur.
The visual format makes the activities useful for beginner French classes, vocabulary revision, literacy centres, homework or a quick independent task.
1. Write the correct job
Students use the word bank to identify 12 illustrated occupations and write the correct French word below each picture. The worksheet includes jobs such as a cook, miner, plumber, firefighter, teacher, mechanic, waiter, pilot, police officer, bus driver, office worker and hairdresser.
This is the most open-ended activity in the set because students must select and copy the correct word themselves.
