Weather Forecast USA: Read, Draw and Write ☀️
Sunny in San Francisco, snowy in New York, rainy in Dallas, Atlanta and Miami: this worksheet turns the map of the United States into a big weather game. The children read the forecast, draw the right symbol next to each of the nine cities, and then write their own sentences with « it will be ».
One page, three tasks: the weather key with six symbols (sunny, cloudy, rainy, windy, snowy, hot), the map to complete, and the writing box with a challenge at the end — the weather in your own city. A nice mix of reading, vocabulary, geography and writing, with a TV weatherman to guide the class.
✨ What students practise
First, the weather key: six symbols, six words. The children match each picture with its word before anything else — a quick warm-up that installs the vocabulary. Then the reading: the forecast box gives one or two conditions per city, and Seattle is the tricky one, with three symbols to draw (sunny, windy AND rainy).
After the drawing, the writing: « In ___, it will be ___. » Two sentences to choose, and a challenge about their own city. In short, the children read, draw, and write the future of the weather — like real TV weathermen.

Read the forecast for the nine cities of the map.
