French Housing Vocabulary: The Home and Its Rooms 🔑

In this worksheet, the students visit a house: the rooms, the floors, the garden, the garage. And they complete 17 sentences with the words of the list: loyer, cuisine, grenier, salle de bains… A simple task, but a complete tour of the home.

Each sentence is a small definition: you read, you understand, and you write the good word. The letters on the left help the students, and the answer key helps the teacher. A good worksheet for the A2 level, and for the DELF preparation.

What students practise

First, the students read the list: 19 words, from the rooms (chambre, salon, cuisine) to the parts of the house (fenêtre, étage, cave, grenier), and to the money (loyer, propriétaire). Then they read the 17 sentences and complete them.

The sentences are not simple blanks: they define the words. For example, the sentence 10 explains what a dressing is, and the sentence 17 compares the baignoire and the douche. So the students learn the words and the meaning, in context. After, they check with the answer key.
