🧠 Quick reminder before starting
In French, a negative sentence is usually formed with two elements placed around the verb: ne… pas. When the verb begins with a vowel, ne becomes n’.
- Je mange. → Je ne mange pas.
- J’aime le chocolat. → Je n’aime pas le chocolat.
- Il parle beaucoup. → Il ne parle pas beaucoup.
Alpha A1 or French FSL / FFL A1: what is the difference?
A French FSL / FFL A1 learner is a beginner in French, but can already read and write. This learner can usually understand simple sentences and follow a short instruction.
An Alpha A1 learner is also a beginner in French, but is working on reading, writing and finding their way around written instructions at the same time. Worksheets should therefore be more sober, more spacious and more guided. The Alpha A1 worksheet is close to the 2nd grade variation in terms of difficulty, but it is designed for teenagers or adults, with a less childlike presentation and different sentences.
