🎯 Three tasks, one underwater scene
The picture is the starting point for every task. Learners look for details, decide which words describe something they can actually see, and use the scene as support for writing.
Observe the drawing. Find the diver, the animals, the plants and the equipment.
Read the 32 options and tick only the words that match the scene. Some words are distractors.
Write three sentences about the picture using “I can see…”.
🐙 Sea animals, plants and diving equipment
The checklist goes beyond familiar words such as fish and crab. It introduces more specific vocabulary through a detailed illustration.
Crab, fish, jellyfish, lobster, octopus, prawn / shrimp, sea urchin, starfish and more.
Diver, diving suit, mask, fins / flippers, air tank and flashlight.
Alga, anemone, coral, rock and shell, alongside details such as bubbles, a float and a propeller.
✍️ From spotting words to writing sentences
The final task gives beginners a clear sentence starter: “I can see…”. Students choose details from the picture and turn individual words into short descriptions.
These are suggested classroom models. The worksheet’s answer page gives an example about a diver exploring the seabed with a flashlight; learners can choose other visible details for their own sentences.
